Well, damn. All the other Vegan MoFo-ers out there have pretty pictures on their blogs that are making me drool. I'm going to do my best to ruin their keyboards, too. I'm going to warn you that I'm the shittiest photographer in the world. I don't understand ISOs or lighting or macros or any of it. I'm learning, but I still suck!
Yesterday we bought a new cookbook - Veganomicon. Oh. Mygod. I love this description:
It's over 250 of our favoritest vegan recipes with absolutely no "soy cheese" this or "store bought veggie burgers" that. Many of the recipes were written for every day meals, in hopes that you won't even need to look at the recipe after making it a few times. The kind of chow you can whip up any night of the week with your pantry staples and some seasonal produce.
Hell, yeah!
I love Sundays. While Tony watched football, I made the Red Lentil and Cauliflower Curry recipe from Veganomicon.
Anything that starts like this has to be good, right?
Albino trees!
The finished dish, served on a fluffy bed of steamed kale.

The spices in this recipe make this very healthy meal feel so decadent. The parsnip adds a little extra surprise to every bite, and if I do say so myself, the cauliflower was cooked to perfection. I don't like mushy veggies, and this recipe calls for just the right amount of immersion time.
If this recipe is any indication of the rest of the cookbook, I may never open another tome.
