Vegan MoFo Day 28 - Silk Soy Creamer

I have always been a coffee drinker and Starbucks Soy Lattes were my vice until recently. I decided once and for all that I was sick of carrying around extra weight, and started making a serious effort to lose it. I'm down 13 pounds so far, thanks in part to the elimination of those delicious soy lattes every morning. My ass and my wallet are thanking me.

Giving up coffee was hard, so I switched to decaffeinated tea. First I enjoyed a box of decaf chai, then I opened but didn't finish some Archer Farms brand white tea and peach tea. Both were DEEsgusting. The teabags are made of some filmy white porous fabric, and the tea was not at all tasty. I started going back to Starbucks for a cup of Earl Grey every morning, but I couldn't justify spending so much money every day on something I could make myself, no matter how much I like the baristas there. So I bought a box of my all-time favorite tea - decaf English Breakfast tea (Twinings) and some Silk Soy Creamer. I am in tea heaven.

There's a reason the British love milky tea - it's so damn good. I have this cute little 9-dollar Sunbeam water heater-upper thingie that sits on the counter and dispenses hot water on command. A cup of tea is literally seconds away. And if I want a little extra sweetness in my tea, the flavored creamers do the trick. Try them!
