Yes, I'm still here, and yes, I'm still watching inordinate amounts of television.
So it's a Matt-Carisa finale on Top Design, and I am thrilled. My two favorite rooms of the entire season belonged to these two designers.
Matt's hotel suite:

and Carisa's luxury-for-less living room:

Carisa's room is much more "me" than Matt's, and despite what the judges said about "growing up and toning down her tchotchkes" I think her room is perfect. I want that yellow chair something fierce.
Matt's room is the complete opposite of anything you'd ever find in my house, but I want that paint color. Somewhere. Anywhere.
Overall, Matt's design aesthetic is much more high-end than Carisa's, which I think will give him the win, but I completely think she deserves to be in the final two. Of all the designers, they are the only two whose rooms you could pick out of a crowd because they were the only two with a consistent point of view. Love them both!
Design aside, I'm totally rooting for Matt, because he takes fabulous to new heights. Go Matt!
