World Series of Pop Culture

Reasons to be pissed we didn't make The World Series of Pop Culture after the first round of auditions.

1. We attended the taping. The questions were EASY. We would have kicked ass.

2. Matching outfits!

3. Team logos!

4. Money and prizes!

Bastards!

Most of the teams we saw at the taping (Sexual Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Ginelli, El Chupacabra, We're What Willis Was Talking About) were really good. One member of El Chupacabra was freaking awesome. You've got to see her on the show. I won't give away which teams won in these two rounds, though. More importantly, look for US in the audience!

What we saw at the live taping was very entertaining - any pop culture junkie will enjoy screaming answers at the television set throughout this series. And the big bonus? No annoying Alex Trebek being pompous and talking in fake accents! Starts tomorrow (Monday) night at 10pm on VH1.

You pretty much summed up why I'm upset I didn't even know about the auditions until they were all booked. Of course, I'd have to find three friends to be able to compete.

I kept seeing the ads saying it starts Monday at 10, but I watched it today. What's with their schedule? El Chupacabra and Sexual Chocolate are awesome names!!!

Also, on the subject of today's episode. In the match between 3 the Hard Way and PDX 503, I would have sucked in the TV theme song category. Showing once again that while I might know a lot of useless junk, if you give me lyrics without a tune, I'll just give a blank stare in return.

There had better be a second season of this show, where I hear about auditions well ahead of time.

Our team name was Vegans Gone Wild. After seeing that teams got logos, I was especially sad that we didn't get a little carrot lifting her shirt with a black bar over her eyes.

I hate VH1's programming schedules. That's the same shit they pulled when I was a reality TV junkie and they claimed that new eps of all my shows premiered Sunday nights, when it was really Sunday MORNINGS.

It's on right now and the host is putting me straight to sleep. I would have kicked ass on this show though.
