It's two months to the first episode, but already the teams have been announced! It couldn't come at a better time, either, because all this business with our house today is making me want to jab my own eyes out with a fork! Now I have a reason to keep my sight!

Amazing Race 10 teams - with pictures

This season is going to kick some serious ass. Yes, we have some of the typical relationships and pretty people, but we also have the most diverse cast yet! I'm most intrigued by:

~ Tom and Terry - the nitpicking, but fun-loving, gay couple
~ David and Mary - a coal miner and homemaker from Kentucky
~ Bilal and Sa'eed - best friends and Cleveland Browns fans
~ Peter and Sarah - a clinical prosthetist and the first woman with an artificial leg to compete in the Hawaii IronMan Triathalon (how much does THAT rule???)
~ Duke and Lauren - a father-daughter team trying to strengthen their relationship after Lauren's coming out
~ Erwin and Godwin - brothers, plus I just want to hear Phil say "Erwin and Godwin" as much as possible
~ Vipul and Arti - a married couple who speak several languages
~ Lyn and Karlyn - best friends since 9th grade

I'm least intrigued by:

~ Kellie and Jamie - PYTs - I doubt they will have the DoubleDs' likeability factor
~ Rob and Kimberly - can you say Freddie/Kendra, Colin/Christie, Romber, Paul/Amie, Jon/Kelly, Hayden/Aaron, Kris/Jon...need I go on?
~ Tyler and James - Mactors. The rehab angle isn't enough to make me care.
~ Dustin and Kandice - pageant queens

I'm encouraged by the fact that I am pre-loving on 8 out of 12 teams this season! The draw of the Race, for me, is watching regular people, not people who are looking to further or start their acting/modeling careers, embark on the adventure of a lifetime. People who might not have such experiences otherwise are an extra plus. And I am often surprised when my preconceptions of teams are proven wrong. It really is the greatest show ever.
