Introducing Rosy, also known as the Smoosh.

We adopted her last night from a rescue organization who took in nine Himalayan cats from a very non-reputable breeder. Over the last few months, many of these cats found forever homes, but the few that were left were so sad, it took a logical Tony to talk me down from bringing them all home. Poor babies.
Rosy seems to know her name, so we won't be changing it, and she's become more curious about her surroundings over the last few hours. She's still a bit shy, so we're giving her time to adjust before introducing her to the other fuzzballs.
The foster mommy thought Rosy was six or seven years old, but other people say she's probably around nine. She's also a munchkin hybrid, which means she was bred to have litters with teeny tiny legs. She's entirely adorable with them, but she's just an example of everything wrong with the world of breeding animals for specific desirable characteristics. I hate that more than you can even imagine. She's sweet and cuddly, and of course, in about three seconds, she warmed to Tony, whom we are now calling The Cat Whisperer. If you meet her, you'll fall instantly in love.
More pics of the Smoosh can be seen on my flickr photostream The cuteness may cause you to keel over. I'm just warning you.
