With the help of google, Movable Type and Tony, I was able to complete the migration of my old blog (the first incarnation of joeparadox as well as clayoftheday) to this website. Now, everything is in one place - posts, comments, images. My OCD was in full swing as I checked and double-checked that nothing was missing. The process was tedious but satisfying.
Looking back, I realized that my blog has gone through an interesting progression. When I wasn't pontificating about Clay Aiken, my site was either a platform for me to chronicle the quirky stories of my life, or a place to blog. While I still write quirky stories (and recaps of reality television shows), I haven't done much in the way of blogging for quite a while. Responses to news stories, fun links, silly quizzes, memes - all of these things have all but disappeared. I miss them! And I think it's time they come back!
Unlike great writers, I do not possess the gift of brevity. The introduction continues. I'm always looking for new blogs to read, and lucky for me, I stumbled upon We want to be on a gameshow. Not only did I find a great team blog based on one of my favorite pasttimes, I also found great new blogs to read. Like my new favorite, The Fount of Useless Information (who wouldn't love that just for the title?), which linked to one of my old (and current) favorites, whirled peas. Triva Nerds also introduced me to hey freak and Invisible Lizard's Unusual Oranges. I'm sure I will find more new reads as I click through the member list, but let's get to the point, shall we?
Mike at the now-defunct "The Wingnuttiest" reminded me about funblogging with his post about his all-time top 5 cereals. So here's mine.
5. Mr. Wonderful's Surprize (from the 1970s) / Corn Chex (now)
4. Count Chocula (pre-vegan days)
3. Corn Pops
2. Cocoa Pebbles
1. Cap'n Crunch Peanut Butter Crunch (which is weird because I don't like peanut butter)
And yours?
