American Idol - results (and LOST)

Make. It. Stop.

Why must they drag out these episodes? Do they not know I have more important things to do shows to watch? The bottom three ended up as I predicted, but Ace managed to eke through yet one more time. I loved Bucky's response when Ryan asked if they were ready to hear the results. "NO!" At least Bucky had an honest sense of humor and Elliott looked like he was about to shit his pants. Ace just stood there like a lump. Anyway, of course Bucky wasn't going to win the contest, but I'd take him over Ace (or Kellie or Paris) ANY DAY.

I'm not much for recapping and commenting on this show, but I have to mention LOST briefly, because it is the single greatest drama in the history of television. Last night's episode wasn't one that had me jumping out of my skin, but it didn't disappoint (as always) with a great Sawyer line.

"What, you got union trouble down at the sand factory, Norma Rae?"

I might have to dedicate a section of my sidebar to my favorite Sawyer quote of the week. Sawyer rules.

Here's a "Lost" hypothetical. Rose (and Bernard, by extension) don't want to leave the island. Are they morally obligated to help the others (not The Others) get off the island? They could always choose to stay when/if the rescuers come. Will we think less of them when they sabotage the next chance to get off the island?

Just wondering.

Obligated, no, but it would be nice of them to help. The thing is, no one really seems to give a shit about being rescued. Or they've all resigned themselves to the fact that there isn't going to be a rescue. If they start to give one - a shit, that is - I can't see Rose and Bernard sabotaging the plan - I think they'd just stay out of the whole thing.

I love how you and Tony use this as another forum to discuss things that I am sure you could just turn to eachother and say, either way, I find it healthy and somewhat fitting for your millenial relationship!!!! Keep on, keeping on.
As always, that is all!

I, too, enjoy the comments you leave on my blog, even though we talk on the phone, oh, forty trillion times a day. Not to mention the in-person ranting and bitching and discussing television shows.

I very much liked the Dwight Schrute way you signed off, too! A nice touch!

First, Lost just might be the greatest drama in the history of TV, and I love that just about every episode has a great Sawyer line or two, Starting all the way at the pilot while discussing why he took the marshall's gun "I thought it might come in handy, and guess what. I just shot a bear!"

Regarding commenting. My wife comments on my blog and when we are at home, we often IM from the next room over. So, I think using the blog as a discussion area is great.
